Video: King Tuff- Alone and Stoned

​Full disclosure; I'm from Vermont, and so is King Tuff. Because Tuff makes music that sounds nothing like Phish, Vermont's most significant musical export and an unfortunate influence on seemingly ever other band to emerge from the state, I'm inclined to like the guy. It also helps that he makes hook laden pop-punk in the same vein as Cloud Nothings and Japandroids, both of whom put out excellent releases this year that won me back over to the genre. Driven by frenetic guitar parts and joyous vocal lines, "Alone and Stoned" exalts one of the weirdest facets of the human condition. The theme here is quite relatable, especially if you're from a rural area; sometimes, when there's nothing else to do, there really is nothing better. Watch the smoked out video below.
