Certainly The xx are one of the most important bands to emerge in the last few years. Regardless of whether you liked Coexist or not, there is no denying that the album was not a significant addition to last year's sonic landscape. Not many people make music that is as subtly intimate as Jamie, Oliver and Romy xx do, which is probably why Jamie has managed to bolster so much hype on his own as DJ/producer-to-the-stars Jamie xx.
