Pro Era- Peep: The aPROcalypse (Mixtape)

New World Order

In a sense, Joey Bada$$' 1999 tape was already just as much of a crew-effort as it was a solo-tape, with Joey's Flatbush-bred Pro Era posse featuring heavily on vocals and production. Peep: The aPROcalypse now represents the first official joint compilation from the team of prodigious youngsters and if you too bumped the shit out of 1999 (like any regular person would), you'll know what to expect: beats that boom and bap and kids who can spit.

In contrast to 1999 and hinting at an artistic evolution, the production consists of all original material here. No more DOOM, no more Dilla, and in Pro Era's case that's a good thing. These guys don't need to recycle when they have beatmakers like Chuck Strangers and Kirk Knight in their midst and ties to Statik Selektah, Thelonious Martin and Brandun Deshay.

Besides some familiar voices like Joey, Chuck, Kirk, Capital Steez and CJ Fly, we also get to hear more from the crew members who have kept a rather low profile so far, such as Ala Sole, Nyck Caution and Dessy Hinds. Take this as an early Christmas gift and grab the free download over here.
