How To Dress Well- Cold Nites

Feeling out the unknown

How To Dress Well makes beautifully avant garde music from an r&b viewpoint. It's novel and progressive as ever, but listening closely it's hard not to channel submissive moments of Jodeci. His latest offering "Cold Nites", off his upcoming sophomore effort Total Loss, conveys this argument--embodying some seriously delicate harmonizations and even an Aaliyah "Are U That Somebody" sample. But where How To Dress Well separates himself from just being another r&b indie carbon-copy, is in his production. "Cold Nites" is inherently dark, and everything from the moaning synths to the reclusive piano strokes scream emotion. It's the kind of music that's meant to be felt, the kind of music that's lyrically vacant enough for you to pull your own message from. Stream "Cold Nites" now below, and look for Total Loss out September 18th.
