Flying Lotus- Flotus

FIRST LADY OF THE UNITED STATES

A week ago, Flying Lotus released Until The Quiet Comes, his most ambitious and transcendent LP to date. Today, we get to hear a very different side of the Low End Theory familiar. Possible Michelle Obama shout-out "Flotus" is FlyLo's take on mainstream hip-hop. The dirty south beat wouldn't sound out of place on a YMCMB release, but is still grounded in the LA beatsmith's jazzy roots. The bass line that comes in around 1:50 is classic FlyLo, even if it is struggling for breath over the constant attack of booming 808 hits. Dig it below, courtesy of Alias UK Bass.
