Earl Sweatshirt- Chum

Odd Future die hards like to say that Earl Sweatshirt is the best MC of the entire OFWGKTA clique, which made his whole missing in Samoa for over a year thing such a big deal to begin with. Since returning from Samoa, Earl has been featured on tracks alongside the likes of Flying Lotus and Frank Ocean, but until yesterday he had yet to release any new solo material. "Chum" puts Earl's excellent wordplay on full display as he reminisces about growing up without his father ("It's probably been 12 years since my father left, he left me fatherless") and how hard it is to come up in the rap game ("feeling as hard as Vince Carter's knee cartilage is"). Is a new album on its way? Who knows, but for the time being we at least have a new Earl track to listen to. Stream it below.
