Disclosure- XLR8R Podcast

Posted by Anthony Obst

Victory Lap

One of 2012's most sweeping success stories has been that of the brotherly tag-team Disclosure. Over the course of the year, Guy and Howard Lawrence have not only received critical acclaim from all across the board, but have also crafted one of the most recognizable sounds in contemporary dance music and are packing clubs from El Rey to Berghain.

The final XLR8R Podcast of the year serves as somewhat of a victory lap for the dynamic duo. Displaying their signature groove of garage-y house with a strong 90s vibe, Disclosure once again impresses with a strong selection, including the old (Inner City's "Ahnongay"), the implausibly new (Unknown's "#52") and the exclusive (their bootleg of Janet Jackson and Nelly's "Call On Me"), stirring it all into a steady, lively ear-pleaser.
