Different Sleep: Infinite EP

​When I was first presented with the opportunity to peep Different Sleep's EP, I was hesitant. I was familiar with this Chicago producer from a few of his singles, but had never been fully exposed to his work. Listening to his Infinite EP is an experience. It requires a certain mindset to fully appreciate the unparalleled artistic quality that teems from the record. There is an obvious trance mindset associated with the tracks, but Rafa transforms his love for the electro genre into something beautifully somber and, at times, downright peaceful. You can dance to this record in your sleep, which is at its essence a contradiction. Different Sleep was able to combine the two states effortlessly, which is truly a unique feat.

He had this to say about his record: "For the Infinite EP, I wanted to incorporate the Juke sound while touching upon other genres like Downtempo, Trance, and R&B. It is the first official release from the Svengali Label, a collective of artists located throughout LA and Chicago that includes Svengali, Mister Lies, Soleman, and myself. As a long time LFTF fan, I’m stoked to share this release with you guys."
