Bambounou- Mass

​Outside of New York, my favorite city is definitely Paris (No, I haven't been to Berlin yet). I have some family that lives out there, including my cousin, who always posts TMI statuses about her boyfriends on Facebook. The city is also home to the man called Bambounou, who has been putting out techno banger fire on the quick recently. His latest release, the Cobe EP, presents three fresh, earthquaking tunes, my favorite of which is "Mass." The "Wachu thank" sample provides the body of beat with a little more swagger than the other cuts on the record, which tend to be rather stilted. Bambounou's production is interesting in that his composition is very stark and minimal, but each individual component is huge. The Cobe EP is available now via 50WEAPONS, and a preview of "Mass" is streaming below. And by the way, if there are any more superbly talented hot black guys making techno, I don't know what I'm going to do with myself.
