The beautiful and magnificent Florence Welsh of Florence and the Machine stopped by the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge recently to lay down this breathtaking rendition of the title track off Drake‘s new album, “Take Care” featuring Rihanna and produced by Jamie XX. Florence takes the song to new heights, preforming it live and in full (yes, even the rapping parts) with a complete band. Not only does the video remind us just how much we love this red-headed angel, it demonstrates how good–from the lyrics to the production–this song really is. Watch the performance now below.
If you haven’t heard yet, The Internet is the new R&B side-project from two Odd Future members, Syd Tha Kyd and Matt Martian. Over the past several weeks, we have seen the duo release tracks “They Say” and “Love Song -1″, the latter making its way onto our mix of favorites from September. The Internet is now gearing up for the release their debut album, Purple Naked Ladies, coming at the end of this year from Odd Future Records. Today, the group let go the video for their new track “Cocaine”, a special Halloween treat directed by Matt Alonzo that features Syd getting her mack on at a twisted carnival. MellowHype’s Left Brain adds a quick verse to the track, and various other OFWGKTA cameos are made throughout the video. Watch it now below.
These days, releasing your song via iTunes and calling it a day is just not enough. If you want to build buzz nowadays, you have to do something crazy; something that will get the people talking. The Black Keys are a group that have mastered this technique to perfection over the years, namely with the slew of viral videos they released for their last album Brothers. Well the time has finally come for a new LP from the Ohio rock group, and today they let go the first single off their upcoming album El Camino, entitled “Lonely Boy”. Sticking to their scheme, along with the news came attached a hilarious low-fi video of a guy dancing very enthusiastically to the new tune. Give the video a spin below, and try to keep a straight face. You can’t.

YSBLT artistCharles Bradley performed at Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle, WA last weekend. I would usually write a couple more sentences describing how brilliant this video of Bradley performing “Why Is It So Hard” live from the festival is, but I’m just going to let it speak for itself. Dude has some pipes and this particular performance is just as moving as you’d think it would be. Don’t sleep on this.
