Let’s face it, our Monthly Mixes last year–although cool–lacked one very important thing: actually “mixed” songs. There’s a reason we’re bloggers people. Stringing together words comes a lot easier to us than stringing together songs. So rather than buying a copy of Traktor and embarrassing ourselves, we did the next best thing: recruited an in-house DJ. For now on, Texas based DJ/producer Skrause–who you may remember from his stellar Purple Slab Mixtape we posted last month–will be handling our Monthly Mixes, taking the curated playlists we give him and turning them into seamless streams of swagged-out frequencies.
