WEEKLY DOSE OF FILTH #10

HEADS UP: So from here on out, the Weekly Dose of Filth will now not only feature the newest tunes in grime Dubstep but will also include the latest in jump-up Drum & Bass. Over the past year I’ve grown increasingly fond of D&B, and I think it’s about time I implement some of that into the site. Don’t have a clue what Drum & Bass is? Just think Dubstep but faster, giving the track an even higher level of energy. Alright now that that’s over with, ON WITH THE TUNES:

Professor Green- Just Be Good To Green (Camo & Krooked Remix)

Sigma- Front 2 Back (Original Sin Remix)

Dj Fesh- Gold Dust (Flux Pavilion Remix)

Northern Lights- Excalibur (feat. MC Shaydee)

Dub Foundation- Gunman

Dj Die & Interface- Bright Lights (Rockers mix)

Caspa- Terminator (Trolley Snatcha Remix)

None other than the Digital Soundgirl herself, Dj B. Traits has just recently done a mix for K Magazine showcasing all the great talents on her record label Digital Soundboy and folks it is slammin! Awesome tracks from Shy FX, Breakage, Benny Page and many others all mixed together by THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DJ IN THE WORLD. Yeah I said it…I mean look at that picture above…and plus there’s just something insanely sexy about a cute girl spinning dark music. trust me though, to be the only girl signed to the most legendary Drum & Bass/Jungle label ever you gotta have some skills–and she’s defintely got ‘em. I fucking love you JIZA. Not only are you a good friend of mine (check him out in our WMC video talking about poop), but you are also doing something different. In todays world, the genre known as Dubstep is receiving more popularity than its ever had. With so many people out there now trying to produce the sound, finding a Dubstep artist that is not creating the same old redundant sounds Rusko or someone was making 3 years ago can be hard. Because lets face it, the whole reason why we got into the genre is because of how fresh and new it sounded. Well ladies and gentleman, I am here to present to you 2 tracks that are VERY fresh and are VERY new. JIZA you are on fire right now, lets keep the flame burning my friend. Get these two tracks while their hot folks, because you’re not going to find them anywhere else…EXCLUSIVE BUSINESS!!!

Producer TC is back at it again! Adding to his collection of signature “Dubstep to Drum & Bass” remixes, here he is with his take on B.o.B‘s latest hit single–”Nothin’ On You”. TC is starting to make a name for himself with these types of remixes, especially after the recent success of the rework he did of Rhianna’s “Rude Boy” (get it here). I’m loving this new style, and this new remix here is no different. It might take a bit to really get into it (as it did for me), but trust me after a couple listens–when the Drum & Bass part kicks in you’ll be skankin’ your little heart out. Check this quality remix out below and remember where you saw it first!

DJ HAZARD SLOWING IT DOWN

Been really digging this “Half-Step Drum & Bass” stuff lately (e.g. Sub Focus’ remix of “Hold On”). Regarded as “Drumstep“, It’s a little faster than Dubstep, yet not as crazy fast as Drum & Bass is. Dj Hazard has been the leader of this movement, proving to his critics why he is regarded as one of the most innovative Drum & Bass producers around. His half-step stuff has made for some really great tracks, check out one of his deeper tunes below:

SONG OF THE WEEK

After a month of having only tiny radio rips to listen to, a final cut version has finally surfaced. Known for his superb remixes, producer TC creates on the best tunes I have heard yet this year with his remix here of “Rude Boy” by pop diva Rhianna. TC completely flips the switch on this groovy track–first throwing some grimey Dubstep on to it, and then out of nowhere slipping it seamlessly into some feel-good Drum & Bass. How he makes it fit so cleanly? I have no idea. But I do know that this is something you do not want to pass up. Check out the song of the week below:
