Finding information on these guys is very difficult. The best of what we could find is that Xen Cuts is a three-disc compilation album released by Ninja Tune for their 10th anniversary. Ninja Tune is a London-based record label crafted by DJs Matt Black and Coldcut. That’s all fun and dandy, but the relatively unknown names do nothing to mask the unreal music that lies within.
Ninja Tune got a couple dozen of their DJs together and told them to have fun, go nuts, and be as innovative as possible when crafting their single tracks for CDs 1 – 3. They range anywhere from jazz to drum and bass to hip-hop to trip hop to chillwave to electronica. It’s a reputable smorgasbord of DJ heaven.
Disc Two really seems to be the gold medalist of the trifecta. Below are four of our favorite tracks.

When we saw Busta Rhymes jumped on Diplo & Tiesto‘s summer jam “C’mon” a few months ago for a remix, we were hella stoked! But then we actually heard the song annnnd were not that stoked. Then we saw the music video and officially lost all stoked-ness (sorry, club battle dancing hasn’t done it for us since Save The Last Dance). But today’s a new day, and thankfully our good bro Jakwob has taken on the liberty to remake this track and give it the proper facelift it needed. Adding in some dubstep/drum & bass elements, Jakwob lets Busta Bus’ rapid-fire flow actually settle in, making the track a hell of a lot more listenable. Woo, officially stoked again! Check it out now below:

Shy FX and Digital Soundboy keep things rolling with their stellar hit single “Raver”–already offering out one remix EP (which featured remixes from Breakage, MJ Cole, and Shy himself), here they are with a second batch of mixes. This time around, “Raver” gets manipulation from B. Traits (pictured above), Benny Page, and Skream; each taking the original in completely different directions. B. Traits gives the track a more house-influenced, tropical-steel-drum-vibe, Benny Page sticks to his guns providing an ever so vintage old school jungle take on the song, and Skream cooks up a dubstep heater worthy of extreme head banging. Probably the best news though, is that just like the first EP, this one is absolutely free. Check out/download each remix below:

If you havn’t heard about the Boiler Roomyet, it’s a rave in East London that goes down every Tuesday night in a remote warehouse at some secret location. The warehouse is small & sweaty, the DJ’s they book are incredible, and each party is simultaneously broadcasted on Ustream for thousands of people to see. We know…heaven, right? And wait till you hear this–for one of their recent raves they brought out Shy FX and fellow Digital Soundboy mate Donaeo to play. God damn you lucky British people with your awesome warehouse parties! Infinitely jealous of this crowd (look at them go f–ing ballistic)…here’s Shy FX and Donaeo absolutely destroying the place.
