It’s not often that we would post the refix of a “shuffle,” but when The Heatwave‘s refix of Jamie xx’s shuffle of Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” appeared on YouTube earlier this morning we knew that we had heard something special. The Heatwave are a collective out of London with a weekly Rinse FM show who specialize in making bashment (dancehall) music and mixes. Featuring vocals from Cecile, Mr Lexx and Timberlee this refix takes no holds bar in their mission to, “show how dancehall is the root of jungle, garage, grime, dubstep and funky.”
