Where are all my heavy electro fans at?? In your face, hard-hitting, pulsating electro music has always been a huge favorite of mine, and I was sad to see a decline in it being produced this past year. Well out of nowhere–almost as if it was planned–3 major TITANS in the sub-genre have released some brand new remixes! These are some serious serious tunes…check ‘em out:

First up we got an epic new remix from the one and only Boys Noize of N.E.R.D.’s new single “Hot-N-Fun”. This remix is just all around fun. Boys Noize sticks to the already funky feel of the song and throws in some really groovy synths. Hard not to dance to this one…

Next we have something new from the legendary group known as Soulwax. Here, they take this originally mediocre LCD Soundsystem song, add in their authentic Soulwax kick, and turn it into a fist pumpers dream! Massive tune…

Last but not least, a new remix from MSTRKRFT!! I feel like these guys, production-wise, have been living under a rock lately–nice to finally hear something new from them. Here they take Katy Perry’s annoyingly pop-py song “California Gurls” and give it a proper punch. Quite the homecoming if you ask me…good to have you back MSTRKRFT!

I dig these tracks in the order you placed them. The MSTRKRFT mix is pretty much garbage though, not sure what has happened to them. Ill be bumpin the Boys Noize shit all summer and the soulwax starts off a bit too slow before the climax hits ya.

Haha yeah, the order is from my favorite to least favorite..and about the MSTRKRFT remix, it’s definitely nothing too special but it has been awhile since they’ve put anything out so I wouldnt count them out of it yet. And no I didn’t post it but I definitely got it–So dope what Diplo and Mad Decent are doing for those kids the Heaps Decent project definitely needs more attention

That Boys Noize remix is fire! Soulwax one is pretty good too, but I’ve lost all faith in MSTRKRFT’s redemption.

The mstrkrft remix doesn’t even make aural sense. Why would they agree to remixing this song? It doesn’t go. This is horrible. Did they both honestly think this sounds good, or did they say ‘fuck it let’s just make some remix money’. Either way, bad decision.

Boyz noise on the other hand, A+.

i’m totally disappointed with the mstrkrft remix. i’ll tell you though that the algeronics remix is full of wobbly bass and sicker than the mstrkrft version.

Algeronics has a Cali Gurls mix? Idk what it is maybe i just dont like the song all together I just have a feeling no one will get it right.
