Been really digging this “Half-Step Drum & Bass” stuff lately (e.g. Sub Focus’ remix of “Hold On”). Regarded as “Drumstep“, It’s a little faster than Dubstep, yet not as crazy fast as Drum & Bass is. Dj Hazard has been the leader of this movement, proving to his critics why he is regarded as one of the most innovative Drum & Bass producers around. His half-step stuff has made for some really great tracks, check out one of his deeper tunes below:

This is 100% Drum & Bass. No Halfstep/Drumstep about it. Drum step is the exact same tempo as most contemporary Drum & Bass. 170-176bpm. Hazard is also hardly the leader of that movement. Drum & Bass has been doing half time tunes for over a century now.

Hmm, still believe that the pace of the song is overall slower than most drum & bass–I think you would HAVE to agree. And about Hazard and drumstep, sorry but drumstep is a extremely new genre dont know what you are speaking of–hazards Wicked So is noted as one of the very first drumstep track–and the release of stellar tracks like Taktix and this one here have cemented him as ONE of the leaders of this movement, did not say the only one.
